Stars for winners

Six pieces here use a star, and each treats it differently.

  • Blue Ice Star Glass: a pale blue faceted star on a tall block, with a long face for the wording.
  • Blue Shooting Star Award: curved trails under a blue star, for someone on a fast rise.
  • Star on Glass: a silver-coloured star on a stem above a block.
  • Crystal Star Pillar Award: a star on a slim column, with the wording on the base.
  • Optic Star Glass Award: an open star outline, which suits stage and music prizes.
  • Optic Crystal Star Award: a round panel with a star at its edge, for a long service message.

Columns for the top honour

The Obelisk Award reaches 350mm, and at that height it stands apart from everything else on the table. Keep the largest size for a Lifetime Achievement award. The Pillar Award is plainer, at 165mm to 210mm, and it suits the person who holds a firm or a community together. Both are tall rather than wide, so plan the wording before you order. On the Obelisk it goes on the base.

Panels for logos and longer wording

If your award needs a logo, a name and a line or two, choose a flat front. The Glass Block Award has no base and runs from 80mm to 180mm. The Glass Plaque Award stands on a slim base and has five heights, which suits a long service scheme. The Optic Glass Award adds a coloured block at the foot, in blue, green, purple or red. The Octagonal Award is the broadest, nearly as wide as it is high.

Two that stand apart

The Globe Award suits export teams and geography prizes. The Optic Glass Flame Award suits leadership and Service to Sport, where a star would feel too much like a contest.

Before you order

Optical & Crystal Awards: your questions

Are all of these awards crystal?
Our catalogue lists every piece here as glass. Two have crystal in their names, the Crystal Star Pillar and the Optic Crystal Star. If a particular material matters for a formal gift, ring us on 0121 667 0310 first.
Which award suits a top sales prize?
Star on Glass is a strong choice, with a silver-coloured star above a block that carries the name and the figure. The 250mm and 190mm sizes give you a clear winner and runner-up.
Which is the tallest award in this range?
The Obelisk Award, which comes in 205mm, 230mm and 350mm. Next is the Blue Shooting Star Award, at 280mm and 295mm. Check the height against your stage or top table before you decide.
Where does the wording go on a slim column?
On pieces such as the Obelisk and the Crystal Star Pillar, it goes on the front of the base. Keep it to three or four short lines: the award, the name and the year.
Can we match an award to our colours?
The Optic Glass Award has a coloured block in blue, green, purple or red, so you can get close to a brand or a school house. For an exact match, our acrylic awards print full-colour artwork.
