Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we hear most from club secretaries, coaches, teachers and league organisers. If yours is not here, call 0121 667 0310 or email sales@tradetrophies.co.uk.
Engraving
Is engraving included in the price?
Yes. There is no set-up fee and no charge per letter. The price on the page is the price of the engraved trophy, with VAT included.
Can every plate be different?
Yes, at no extra charge. A list of names is fine, so a squad of 15 can each have their own plate.
How much wording fits on a plate?
Two or three short lines suit most plates. A 50 x 16mm plate holds far less than a 75 x 25mm plate, so check the plate size for your height. Our wording ideas page has examples.
What happens if my wording is too long?
We check with you. The preview is a guide, and we set the final size and spacing by hand. If your wording is long for a plate, we will talk through the options before we cut it.
Will the engraving wear off?
No. Plates are rotary engraved: a cutter removes the coloured finish to show bright metal underneath, so the lettering is cut in and cannot rub off. Read more on our engraving page.
Can you engrave a club badge or logo?
Plates here are engraved with text only, so your club name goes on as lettering. A centre can show your sport, and there are 196 designs to choose from.
Centres and trophies
What is a centre?
A 1 inch (25mm) disc that sits in a recess on many trophies and shows your sport or award. It is included in the price, and the preview shows your chosen centre fitted.
Do you have trophies for my sport?
Almost certainly. Most sports have their own page, and any trophy that takes a centre can suit a sport or activity from our 19 groups of designs, such as chess, quiz, scouts or music.
What is the cheapest trophy you sell?
The Smiley Star Award is £3.50, and the Mini Utopia Football Trophy is £4.85, both with engraving included. See all our trophies under £10.
Prices and quantity discount
Is there a minimum order?
No. One trophy is fine.
How does the quantity discount work?
It comes off automatically in the basket: 2% off at 5 trophies, 5% at 10, 6% at 15, 7% at 25, 10% at 50 and 12% at 100. Mixed designs count together. See clubs and leagues for more.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. Clubs, schools and businesses can see the ex-VAT price too.
Ordering and delivery
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
Delivery options and prices are shown at checkout, and UK delivery is by tracked service. If you have a date to meet, call us before you order. See our delivery page.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. Free collection from Cradley Heath can be arranged. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
How do I know a size is in stock?
Each page shows how many of each size we can send, updated through the day. A size we cannot send cannot be ordered.
Can I return an engraved trophy?
Engraved trophies are made to order, so they cannot be returned for a change of mind. If anything is faulty, damaged or wrongly engraved, we will put it right. Our returns page has the details.
