A society day usually needs five or six prizes: Winner, Runner Up, Third Place, Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin, with a Nearest the Pin on each par 3 if you run more than one. The Golf Society Award saves you the thinking. It comes worded for Winner at 165mm, Runner Up at 140mm, and Longest Drive or Nearest the Pin at 150mm, so the prize table steps down neatly. The plate then only needs the name and the date.
Golf plates tend to record where and when, so keep the hole number or the score short. Read each slash as a line break:
Societies running six or more days a year can save by ordering the whole season once. Six days with five prizes each is 30 trophies, which reaches the 7% band, and every plate can carry a different date. Leave the names off if you are ordering ahead, or wait and order after each day. The clubs and leagues page shows all the bands.
For an Order of Merit that runs for years, a board with room for names works better than a single trophy. The Annual Presentation Shield in our shields and plaques range has between 7 and 13 record plates depending on size. A trophy cup is the other classic route. Short of ideas for the plate? Try our wording ideas. Prizes for a mixed fun event might come from novelty trophies, where the Wooden Spoon usually goes to last place.
