About the Classic Golf Claret Jug

The jug shape belongs to golf, so nobody needs to ask what the prize is for. Sizes are 225mm, 250mm, 300mm and 355mm. A society might choose the 355mm for its annual major and keep it as a perpetual trophy, while the 225mm makes a fine individual keepsake for a club championship winner to take home.

Plates grow with the jug: 50 x 25mm on the 225mm and 250mm, 65 x 35mm on the 300mm and 80 x 40mm on the 355mm. Silver plates run through the range. The largest takes four or five lines, which suits the competition name, the club, the winner and the year. The jug itself takes no centre. Compare it with the Valiant Golf Cup.
